“Russian bear” is a poster with a beautiful story.
I created it at the end of February 2022, right after Russia’s attack on Ukraine, with the aim of helping our brave neighbors. For 3 months, through my shop and a fundraiser on siepomaga.pl, it was offered as a downloadable and self-printing file and collected over PLN 200,000.
It became an Internet hit, shared from Twitter to Reddit tens of thousands of times. He appeared on the front page of the largest newspaper in Greece, appeared in press in Austria, entered the permanent collection of the art museum in Hamburg, not to mention numerous posts and online articles on the best creations related to the situation in Ukraine.

We often pretend to be tough on the Internet, and the truth is completely different.
The illustration was originally published in Wysokie Obcasy issue 12/2020, in an article about remote work, leadership and empathy in business during the pandemic.
The illustration was in the finals of 200 works in the World Illustration Awards 2021 competition, organized by The Association of Illustrators.
Illustrations are printed in three sizes – corresponding to popular frame formats available in stores.
Nowadays, plexiglass frames are more often available than glass. They are cheaper to produce and lighter and more reliable to transport. Unfortunately, plexiglass is not durable and scratches the first time you wipe it with a cloth.
For a presentation in a home gallery, I definitely recommend glass! It will be a bit more expensive, but it will serve for years.
